FIFA World Cup 1970 Brazil:England and Escape to Victory - ฟุตบอลโลก ๒๕๑๓ นัด บราซิล-อังกฤษ และ เตะแหลกแล้วแหกค่าย (Escape to Victory)


ในขณะที่ฟุตบอลโลกหญิง ๒๕๕๘ เพิ่งจะจบสิ้นลง ผมขอแสดงความยินดีย้อนหลังกับทีมชาติหญิงไทยที่ได้สร้างประวัติศาสตร์นำธงไตรรงค์ไปเข้าร่วมสังเวียนฟุตบอลโลกรอบสุดท้ายได้สำเร็จและอย่างน้อยก็ได้สัมผัสกับชัยชนะด้วย ไม่ใช่ทีมแจกคะแนนอย่างที่ใครๆคาดกัน และขอแสดงความยินดีกับทีมแชมป์คือ อเมริกา ไว้ในที่นี้ด้วยครับ ที่สร้างประวัติศาสตร์เป็นแชมป์โลกสามสมัยเป็นทีมแรก

Now, the Women FIFA World Cup 2015 is just ended.  I would like to express my belated congratulations to the Thai Women team who made a nation history by making it to the Final round for the first time.  They also did it quite well by getting a winner too instead of losing all matches like most critics had predicted.  I also congratulate the US women team who became the first nation to win the trophy three times!

ควันหลงก็คือผมไปควานหาดีวีดีภาพยนตร์ แตะแหลกแล้วแหกค่าย ( Escape to Victory ) มาชมอีกที เผลอแปปเดียว ก็ ๓๔ ปี แล้วนะครับ ที่หนังเรื่องนี้ฉายครั้งแรก เมื่อชมหนังจบ ก็หวนไปนึกถึงฟุตบอลโลกนัดหนึ่ง ที่ถือว่าเป็นนัดประวัติศาสตร์สำคัญนัดหนึ่งที่ไม่ใช่นัดชิงชนะเลิศ แต่ยังคงอยู่ในความทรงจำของผู้ชมรุ่นลุงป้า ที่อายุเกิน ๕๐ ปีมาจนทุกวันนี้ อือ ควันหลงฟุตบอลโลกหญิงครั้งนี้นี่มันทำให้หวนระลึกหลายชิ่งนะนี่

the consequence is I seek to my piles of DVD and watched the movie Escape to Victory which is about POW football team during the WW II.  It is 34 years now since this film was first released.  Afterwards, it also reminded me to one FIFA World Cup match that is albeit not the Final match, but is still in clear memory of football fans of previous generation.  Ah, the consequences of this Women FIFA World Cup brings out so many memories to me.

ครับ ผมหมายถึงฟุตบอลโลกปี ๒๕๑๓ ( 1970 ) ที่แมกซิโกจัดเป็นครั้งแรก ก่อนที่จะได้จัดอีกครั้งในปี ๒๕๒๙ ( 1986 ) และนัดที่ผมพูดถึงก็คือนัดสำคัญของรอบแรกเมื่อ อังกฤษแชมป์เก่า มาเจอกับทีมเต็งอดีตแชมป์สองสมัย บราซิลนั่นเอง อ้อ การแข่งขันครั้งนั้นจบลงด้วยการที่ บราซิลได้เป็นแชมป์โลกสามสมัยเป็นทีมแรกเช่นกันนะ

Yes, I meant to talk about  1970 FIFA World Cup at Mexico and the match In particular is the important match during the first round between the defending champion England and the two times winners which was the favorite to win that tournament, Brazil.  Hey, the tournament was also ended with Brazil was the first nation to win the title three times, do not forget!

ผมยังเด็กมาก ( อีกแล้ว ) ไม่ได้ชมหรือรับรู้หรอกครับในช่วงเวลานั้น ( ผมติดตามฟุตบอลครั้งแรกก็ปี ๒๕๒๑ ที่อาร์เจนติน่า ) แต่เมื่อโตขึ้นมาหน่อยและเริ่มดูฟุตบอลแล้ว มีชื่อสามชื่อที่รู้จักจากเหล่าพี่ๆ และมันทำให้ผมชื่นชอบนักฟุตบอลสามคนนี้เป็นอย่างมาก ได้แก่ ไข่มุกดำเปเล่ ยอดผู้รักษาประตูกอร์ดอน แบงค์ส และกัปตันใจสิงห์บอบบี้ มัวร์ สำหรับเปเล่นั้น ไม่มีอะไรให้สงสัยนะครับ สำหรับหลายๆคนซึ่งรวมทั้งผมด้วย เขาคือนักฟุตบอลที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดตลอดกาล ทั้งในอดีตและปัจจุบัน

I was still too young (again lol) and was not aware of the competition (the first time I was aware and excited with the tournament was World Cup 1978 at Argentina).  But as the time went by, there were three names made know to me by my brother and they became my favorite footballers.  The three are Pele, Gordon Banks, and Bobby Moore.  For Pele, there is no doubt about him being the Greatest Footballer the world has seen now and then with which I truly agree.

สำหรับกอร์ดอน แบงค์ส และ บอบบี้ มัวร์นั้น เป็นตำนานของทีมชาติอังกฤษชุดแชมป์โลกครั้งเดียวของประเทศเมื่อปี ๒๕๐๙ และได้รับการยกย่องเป็นอย่างมากว่าเป็นส่วนสำคัญที่ทำให้อังกฤษได้เป็นแชมป์โลกครั้งนั้น

Gordon Banks and Bobby Moore are the legend of the first and only World Cup English winning team in 1966.  They both are regarded as the back bone of that winning team.

ครับในสามคนนี้ ปัจจุบัน บอบบี้ มัวร์เสียชีวิตไปแล้วในปี ๒๕๓๖ ด้วยโรคมะเร็งขณะอายุ ๕๑ ปี เท่านั้น ส่วน เปเล่ และ กอร์ดอน แบงค์ส ยังมีชีวิตอยู่ครับ ในขณะที่ผมเขียนอยู่นี่

Among the three, Bobby More already passed away in 1993 at the age of 51 at hand of cancer.  The other two are still living legend while I am writing this article.

ในนัดที่อังกฤษ พบกับ บราซิลนั้น ได้รับการกล่าวขานเป็นอย่างมาก นอกจากว่าเป็นการพบกันระหว่างแชมป์เก่า และทีมตัวเต็งอดีตแชมป์สองสมัยแล้ว มันยังเต็มไปด้วยเหตุการณ์ที่ถูกจารึกในประวัติศาสตร์ของฟุตบอลโลกเอง และวงการกีฬาโดยรวมด้วยซึ่งยังอยู่ในความทรงจำจนทุกวันนี้ ครับเดี๋ยวจะเล่าให้ฟัง

The match between Brazil and England in 1970 was in spotlight not only because it was the match between the defending champion and the tournament favorite as I mentioned but also several significant moments happened during the match.  Those moments are written into history of FIFA World Cup and general sport until this day. Yes these are what I will tell you.

ก่อนอื่นขอกล่าวอะไรสักนิด ก่อนที่ทีมชาติอังกฤษจะพบกับความตกต่ำมาจนทุกวันนี้ ซึ่งทีมไม่เคยประสบความสำเร็จใดๆเป็นชิ้นเป็นอันอีกเลย ผมว่าทีมในชุดป้องกันแชมป์ครั้งนั้น เป็นทีมที่แข็งแกร่งที่สุดเลยนะครับ เห็นได้จากการที่สามารถต่อกรกับบราซิลชุดที่ถูกยกย่องว่าดีที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์ได้อย่างสูสีมาก ผมว่าถ้าไม่ใช่การเปลี่ยนตัวที่ผิดพลาด ด้วยการถอดบอบบี้  ชาร์ลตันออก ระหว่างเจอกับเยอรมันตะวันตกในรอบตัดเชือก อังกฤษน่าจะได้เข้ารอบลึกกว่านี้ด้วยซ้ำ

I would like to say something besides the main topic.  I think the England team of 1970 was the best team in history.  It was the team that fought against the also best in history Brazil team in close competition.  England from then on had never again displayed such ability.  I myself think if not because of the wrong decision to substitute Bobby Charlton out during Quarter Final game with West Germany team, England could perhaps have had a better result of the tournament.

เหตุการณ์ที่ถูกกล่าวเป็นอย่างมากอย่างแรก ก็คือการป้องกันประตูอันมหัศจรรย์ของกอร์ดอน แบงค์ส จากการโหม่งลูกของเปเล่นั่นเอง มันถูกยกย่องว่าเป็นการป้องกันประตูที่น่าจะดีที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์วงการฟุตบอลเลยทีเดียว โดยทั้งคู่ ต่างก็ถูกถามถึงเหตุการณ์ครั้งนั้น ซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า เหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้นในเสี้ยววินาทีเท่านั้นเอง แต่ไม่น่าเชื่อว่ามันจะกลายเป็นตำนานมาจนวันนี้

The first moment written in history is the perhaps greatest save in football history by Gordon Banks of Pele's header during the early game.  It is still praised and talked about nowadays.  Both players are still asked about the incident from times to times.  It occurred in a split second.  Who would believe it had then been legend till now.

เหตุการณ์ที่สองก็คือการเล่นและการบัญชาการของบอบบี้ มัวร์ หลายๆคนยกย่องว่านี่คือช่วงที่เขาเล่นได้สุดยอดที่สุดในชีวิตการเล่น ในนัดนี้ บอบบี้ มัวร์บัญชาการแนวป้องกันได้อย่างโดดเด่นอย่างมาก แม้แต่เปเล่ยังยกย่องให้มัวร์ เป็นกองหลังที่ดีที่สุดที่เปเล่เคยต้องต่อกรด้วย และเหตุการณ์ที่ยังคงอยู่ในความทรงจำก็เกิดขึ้น เมื่อบอบบี้ มัวร์เสียบสกัดการบุกตะลุยของแจร์ซินโฮอย่างแม่นยำและขาวสะอาด จนถูกยกย่องว่าเป็นการเสียบสกัดที่สมบูรณ์ที่สุด เช่นกัน

Then, people had witnessed and talked about the defending and commanding displayed in this game by the great skipper, Bobby Moore.   Many had referred that this is the peak time of his professional play.  Even Pele himself said that Bobby Moore was the best defender he had ever played against, not only because of skills but also the fair play he did.  And another memorable moment happened when Moore produced what many said the best precise tackle against the attack-running of Jairzinho.  It also had become a very fine moment of history.

สุดท้าย มันเกิดขึ้นเมื่อเกมจบลงแล้วโดยชัยชนะเป็นของบราซิล ช่างภาพ จอห์น วาร์ลีย (John Varley) สามารถถ่ายภาพประวัติศาสตร์ซึ่งถูกยกย่องว่าเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการแสดงมิตรภาพและน้ำใจนักกีฬาที่ดีที่สุดครั้งหนึ่งในประวัติศาสตร์กีฬาเลยทีเดียว ครับมันเป็นภาพของการแลกเสื้อหลังเกมระหว่าง เปเล่และบอบบี้ มัวร์นั่นเอง ภาพของสองนักกีฬาผู้ยิ่งใหญ่และถือกันว่าเป็นสุภาพบุรุษในเกมทั้งคู่ซึ่งต่างยิ้มแย้มทักทายให้กันอย่างจริงใจ หลายคนตั้งข้อสังเกตว่า คุณไม่อาจบอกได้เลยว่าฝ่ายใดได้รับชัยชนะ นั่นคงเป็นสาเหตุที่เพียงพอแล้ว ที่ทำให้ภาพถ่ายภาพนี้กลายเป็นภาพแห่งความทรงจำที่ถูกพูดถึงบ่อยครั้งแม้เวลาจะล่วงเลยมากว่า ๔๐ ปีแล้วก็ตาม

The last thing I want to tell you about the game happened after the final whistle blown with victory to Brazil.   A photographer named John Varley captured the iconic moment when the two great players swapped their jerseys.  Both had been recognised as gentlemen of the games, one is the great striker and the other is the great defender.  Many said that, from the photo alone, you could not tell who the winning team is.  Both displayed the big smiles of respect to each other.  It symbolised the meaning of the game: friendship and sportmanship , not only for Football but perhaps for sport in general.  This is enough to make the image so timeless even after more than 40 years passed.

แล้วการแข่งขันนัดนี้มันเกี่ยวอย่างไรกับหนัง เตะแหลกแล้วแหกค่ายละ ความเห็นส่วนตัวนะครับ เพราะว่าเตะแหลกแล้วแหกค่าย ซึ่งถูกสร้างในปี ๒๕๒๔ มีนักฟุตบอลดังร่วมสมัยยุคนั้นแสดงด้วยหลายคน และสองในนั้นคือเปเล่และบอบบี้ มัวร์นั่นเอง (นอกจากนี้ยังมี ออสวัลโด้ อาร์ดิเลส ( Osvaldo Ardiles ) นักเตะชุดแชมป์โลก ๒๕๒๑ ของอาร์เจนติน่า และ คาซิเมียส เดยน่า ( Kazimierz Deyna ) จากโปแลนด์ ) นอกจากนี้บทที่พระเอกซิลเวสเตอร์ สตัลลโลน ( Sylvester Stallone )วัยหนุ่มเล่น ก็ทำให้นึกถึงกอร์ดอน แบงค์สเหมือนกัน ทำไมละ ก็พระเอกต้องลงแข่งในตำแหน่งผู้รักษาประตู และยังใส่เสื้อสีน้ำเงินซึ่งไปตรงกับชุดที่กอร์ดอน แบงค์สใส่ในการแข่งขันนัดนั้นไงละ ซึ่งผมไม่ค่อยได้เห็นชุดผู้รักษาประตูสีน้ำเงินมากนักในสมัยนั้น โยงกันจนได้นะ

Then, what this game related to the Escape to Victory.  It is my personal thought. It is because in that film, both Pele and Bobby Moore were involved in the movie along with at that time current players like Osvaldo Ardiles ( member of Argentile winning team in 1978 ) and Kazimierz Deyna ( Poland ).  Besides, Sylvester Stallone played an American who played Goal Keeper for the POW team.  And he wore the blue shirt at the final match just like what Gordon Banks wore in that 1970 memorable game which I found unusual.  To me that is the relation, lol.

ครับอยากแนะนำให้หาโอกาสชมภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้กันนะครับ พร้อมกับการหาชมการแข่งขันฟุตบอลโลกนัด อังกฤษ บราซิลด้วย เพื่อระลึกถึงตำนานลูกหนังในอดีต และเหตุการณ์ที่ยังคงถูกกล่าวถึงจนทุกวันนี้ ท่านอาจจะเลือกชมการป้องกันประตูมหัศจรรย์ โดยใช้คำว่า Gordon Banks save v Pele และใช้คำว่า Bobby Moore vs Brazil เพื่อชมไฮไลท์ของบอบบี้ มัวร์นะครับ
